Sportzware Central 6.0 - Release Notes

Note: As of this release of Sportzware Central (Version 6.0) SportingPulse will no longer be supporting Windows 98SE and Windows ME. Sportzware Central may still operate on these platforms, but SportingPulse will not provide support for any problems that arise for users using these platforms. This is in line with Microsoft’s policy to end support for Windows 98.

General Enhancements:

1. The member field import has been enhanced to now include 73 fields that the user can import.
2. The membership database features have been altered so that the online database is now a live database which is able to directly synchronise with the offline member database in Sportzware Central. Synchronisation can be done at any time and will transfer changes in Sportzware Central to the online database and vice versa. The need for using email has been replaced by a direct HTTP transfer which cuts out the lengthy process of saving email attachments in the correct location and then processing them.
3. An enhanced bug system has been installed which will allow the user to automatically email a comprehensive error log to our support system whenever an unexpected error occurs in the system.
4. Version number of the program is now displayed in the title bar of the Data Manager.
5. Canoeing has been removed as a sport from Sportzware Central.
6. Gaelic Football has been added as a Sport in Sportzware Central.

Membership

Enhancements:

1. Club functionality has been enhanced to allow members to belong to more than one club. The addition of this functionality has created two minor problems that will be rectified in the next version. The membership grid will display multiples of members if they belong to more than one club. This will cause the count of members to be incorrect if you have members belonging to more than one club. Members who belong to more than one club will not have the ability to be edited in Grid Edit Mode.
2. Extra member custom fields have been added which allow the user to specify lookup fields which can be selected from a user-defined list of values.
3. Other member fields have been added to allow entry of police check information and extraneous information like the national and state teams supported by the member.
4. It is now possible to add selected members to an email group, or directly send an email to selected members from the member screen.
5. Permits have been enhanced allowing players to have more than one concurrent permit.

Bug Fixes:

1. Leagues, Clubs and Teams can now be added to an email group. [Bug 4757]

Competitions

Enhancements:

1. It is now possible to change a normal competition to a round robin or knockout in the appropriate circumstances.

Bug Fixes:

1. You can now change time and venue before it validates a clash [Bug 5320]

Daily Admin

Enhancements:

1. Player statistics calculations have been optimised, particularly career statistics, allowing calculation to be faster.

Bug Fixes:

1. Wash out tick box has been made visible again [Bug 4780]

Upload to the Web

Enhancements:

1. The 'Membership Uploader' has been removed and now replaced by a new Membership Synchronisation profile.
2. An Online Results Download profile has been added to enable downloading and importing of the Online Results data.
