Upgrade Sportzware Central

There are two methods for upgrading SWC - from a CD or over the Internet.

Please Note: Major updates, such from Version 6 to Version 7, will require a full install. The installation file can be downloaded from the Sportzware website or alternately an upgrade can be run via CD (Click here to order a CD). Upgrading of your database may take some time when run for the first time, particularly if you have a large dataset and/or it has been a long time since you last upgraded your version of Sportzware.

Upgrade Settings

  1. Open Sportzware Central.
  2. From the Data Manager screen, click on Setup and select Workstation Settings from the drop down menu.



  3. Click on the Upgrade tab.
  4. Under ‘Upgrade Method’ check either the 'Internet Update’ or 'CD' option, depending on how you wish to update your version of SWC.



  5. Under 'Upgrade Version', leave 'Current Release' selected.
  6. Click on OK.

Internet Upgrade

  1. Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
  2. From the Data Manager screen, click on Support and select Upgrade Sportzware Central.



  3. Sportzware Central will check for online updates.

    A message will appear telling you how many files are going to be downloaded and updated. Click on Yes to proceed.
  4. Once the upgrade is complete a message will appear telling you how many files have been updated. Click on OK to close the message.
  5. Updating Sportzware Central should now be complete.

CD Upgrade

  1. You must firstly ensure that you have the CD upgrade option seleected. See Upgrade Settings - point 4 above.
  2. From the Data Manager screen, click on Support and select Upgrade Sportzware Central.
  3. You will now be prompted to check that the Sportzware Central CD is in your CD Drive. Ensure this is the case and click on OK.
  4. A message will appear telling you how many files are going to be updated. Click on Yes to proceed.
  5. Sportzware Central will now be upgraded from the updates contained on the CD.
  6. Once the upgrade is complete a message will appear telling you how many files have been updated. Click on Ok to close the message.
  7. Updating Sportzware Central should now be complete.
