Pre - Match: Team Selection
All team selection is done via the “Team Selection” section. Double clicking on a player’s name will transfer him from one side to the other. The group on the right hand side are the players selected for the match. In most cases, a league will allow you to select up to 28 players as a squad for an upcoming match. (The number is configurable up to 30). Once your squad is selected, click on the save button, this will number the players and show you how many have been selected. It will also show you their jumper number and footyweb1 number.
For larger clubs, there are filters that can be applied to the Available player list on the left. This list is made up of all players in the club that are ‘Player Active’ in the member database. Filters allow you to only show players from a certain age range, for example. In most cases the button, ‘Load player list from previous match’ is not required as this will happen automatically unless you have some non-standard browser settings. The links to ‘Assign Player Roles’ and ‘Assign Jumper Number / Position’ can be found on the team selection screen.
Assigning Player Roles
To assign a player to a role, such as captain, select the player from the drop list and select the role from the drop list and click the ‘assign’ button. The player role abbreviation will appear alongside the players name on the team sheet. There is no limit to the number of players that can be assigned these types of roles.
