Duplicate (copy) an Existing Competition Pdf

  1. From the Competitions tab click on Competition Details.
  2. Select the competition from the list that you want to copy.
  3. Click on Copy to open the 'Competition Duplication' screen.
  4. Tick the Duplicate Teams box if you want to use the same teams as the copied competition in the new competition. By ticking this box, 2 other 'Team Duplication' options become available, you need to select your preference:
    1. New Competition with the same Team Names; or
    2. New Competition with the same Teams (Season Rollover). If you select this option, another option will appear - Duplicate Registered Players. Ticking this box will automatically bring across all registered players from the previous competition into their teams in the new comeptition.
  5. Check the 'Duplicate Round Dates' box if you want to use the same round dates as the copied competition in the new competition.
  6. Click on Ok.
  7. A confirmation screen will appear, noting that you will need to edit the competition details in order to generate the fixture. Click on OK.
  8. The copied competition will appear in the list of competitions on the Competition Details screen. Its name will be 'Copy of (original name)', which you can change by editing the competition.


Duplicate Existing Competition options

Duplicate Teams: Create the new Competition with the same teams as the competition you are duplicating.
Duplicate Round Dates: Will duplicate the round dates from the selected competition into the new competition.
New Competition with the same Team names: Creates new teams with the same names as in the competition you are duplicating
New Competition with the same Teams (season rollover): Duplicates the Competition with the same team records. Generally used when you want to keep accurate historical team records
Duplicate Registered Players: Brings across the same players in each team and registers them into the new competition. This option saves a lot of time and is generally used unless you want to register the players from scratch at the start of the new competition.
