How to take a screen shot

Contents

What is a screenshot?

A screen shot captures an image of your computer screen. It is often also referred to as a screen dump or, screen capture.

When is taking a screen shot useful?

If you encounter a problem or an error with any SportingPulse product and can not fix the error yourself or find the solution on the support website, you may need to contact the SportingPulse Customer Service team.

When you do so it may be useful to send a screen shot by email, as this will give the Customer Service Team a clear indication of what the problem is.

How do you take a screenshot?

To take a picture of your screen you need to press the Print Screen key. This key is usually located up the top of your key board near the F12 key - (On many laptops you may find that you need to first press the Fn button to activate the print screen function-).

How does it work? I have pressed the button but nothing has happened.

When you press the Print Screen button it will appear as if nothing has happened. To view the screen shot you need to paste it into a program such as Paint or Word. Paint can be accessed in most computers by clicking on the start button > Programs > Accessories > Paint. Once you are in the Paint program click Edit> Paste

How do I send this picture to SportingPulse? To send the picture to the support team you first need to save the file. To do this Click on file> Save As. Give the file with a name (eg. Sportzware_ladder_error.jpg) and save it in a folder where you will remember the location. Insert the file you have created into an email and send it to support@sportingpulse.com along with the details of your problem.
