How the Clearance Process Works

Clearances (or transfers) must be initiated at the club level. Associations and levels above the club can navigate down to club level to initiate clearances if required.

By clicking on List Online Clearances in the left hand menu an association can see all of the clearances that have been entered online by their clubs. The purpose of this is to allow the association to:

1. Monitor all clearances entered by its clubs
2. Process clearances that are ‘Awaiting your Approval‘ – as designated by the blue writing in the Status column

The clearance process works as follows:

1. A club submits a clearance request for a member.
2. The association can now view the clearance by clicking on List Online Clearances on from the association menu. The List of Clearances screen shows all members involved in clearances.
3. Click on a member‘s name to view the member‘s clearance summary page. This will show the progress of the clearance and indicate the entity that needs to tend to the clearance at that current stage.

In the above example, the Bombers club requested a clearance for the player Harry Crumpet, who was last tied to the Blues club. You can see from the clearance summary the order in which the clearance was processed:

1. The clearance was submitted by the Bombers club
2. The clearance was approved by the Blues club
3. The clearance was approved by the association (‘Online Results Test‘)
4. The clearance was confirmed/finalised by the Bombers club

After the destination club (in this case the Bombers) fulfills the final step in the process by approving the clearance, the member‘s record will then appear within the Bombers‘ database. The member‘s record will be changed to ‘inactive‘ and ‘read-only‘ in their old club, the Blues.
