Data Manager - Right Click Menu

- Right click on a dataset.
- The right click menu will appear, providing two options - 'Edit Details' and 'Explore Location':
Edit Details
Will produce a screen displaying the details of the particular data location, which is editable by the user.
- Description - The name of the dataset.
- Data Location - The path to where the data is stored. If you are looking at the location on a workstation on a network, this path will be the true path of the data on the server machine.
- Workstation Path - This is only applicable for instances where Sportzware Central has been networked. The location of the data on the networked drive needs to be selected in this box.
- Network Location - This is only applicable for instances where Sportzware Central has been networked. The location of the SportzIB.exe file on your server can be entered here, but in most cases this will be blank.
- Username - Your username for logging into Sportzware. If you do not want to have to manually log into the database leave this field blank.
- Connection Type - You can select one of two types of connections here: 'Local' or 'Server'. In the majority of instances you will select 'Local', but where the installation of Sportzware Central is being used on a Server then you would select 'Server'.
- Password - Your password for logging into Sportzware. If you do not want to manually log into the database leave this field blank.
- Server - This is the name of the computer where the data is stored. Leave this field empty if you have installed a stand-alone version of Sportzware Central.
- Test Data - Selecting this option will display a different background to indicate that you are running Test Data.
- Protocol - only TCP/IP can be selected.
- Test Connection - This will run a test to see if the workstation can successfully connect to the server machine.
- Ok and Cancel - The ‘Ok’ button will save all changes and close the screen. The ‘Cancel’ button will close the screen without saving changes.
Explore Location
This open up the location of your database file in Windows Explorer (normally C:/Program Files/Sportzware/Data).
